A moped rider caught dealing Class A drugs in Crawley has been jailed for more than three years.
Anthony Foukx, 31, was stopped by police on a pedestrian footpath in the Northgate area after officers intercepted him while riding between Green Lane and Hollybush Road.
Sussex Police said the moped had previously made off when spotted in the town. When officers detained Foukx, they discovered dozens of wraps of crack cocaine and heroin, along with more than £1,300 in cash.
Phone evidence showed Foukx was operating the “Stretch” drugs line supplying crack cocaine and heroin in Crawley.
He was arrested at around 3.35pm on 15 December last year by officers from the Crawley Neighbourhood Policing Team. Captor spray was used to safely detain him.
At Lewes Crown Court on 14 January, Foukx, of South Lambeth Road, London, admitted five drugs and criminal property offences. He was sentenced to three years and four months in prison.
Police said the sentence reflects their ongoing efforts to disrupt drug dealing and reduce harm in local communities.
