Murder Charge After Woman Found Dead in Mapperley

Adedapo Adegbola, 40, has been arrested and charged with the murder of 23-year-old Stephanie Irons. The tragic incident unfolded in Mapperley after police were called on Tuesday night following concerns for the woman’s safety.

Investigation Launched After Disturbing Discovery

Emergency services found Stephanie – known as Steph to friends and family – deceased at an address on Westdale Lane West, Mapperley, shortly after 10pm on 21 October. Police quickly launched a murder investigation. It’s believed the victim and suspect were known to each other.

Suspect in Custody, Court Appearance Today

Adegbola was arrested the next day and charged on Friday. He remains in custody and is set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 25 October. Meanwhile, a 40-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on strict bail conditions.
