A man from St Leonards has been hit with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) following a string of thefts in Hastings.
Clive Fullick Caught Red-Handed at Hastings Co-op
Clive Fullick, 57, of Stonehouse Drive, St Leonards, faced Hastings Magistrates’ Court on October 20. He admitted to 20 counts of shoplifting, all at the Co-op on Bohemia Road, Hastings.
Three-Year Criminal Behaviour Order Issued
Sussex Police revealed the court slapped Fullick with a three-year CBO aiming to stop him from causing more trouble and keep shop staff and the local community safe.
Strict Conditions and Compensation Ordered
Besides the CBO, Fullick must pay £2,295 in compensation and join a rehabilitation programme for substance misuse.
The order bars Fullick from staying in any Sussex retail premises after being told to leave by staff or security. He must also avoid any stores that have formally banned him and stay at least 30 metres away from the Hastings Co-op where the thefts took place.
Sussex Police stressed these measures are in place to protect businesses and prevent further crime in the area.
