A man has been remanded in custody after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.
Attack on Tunbridge Wells Common
The horrific incident took place on the evening of Saturday 18 October 2025. The victim, a teenage girl, was attacked by an unknown man near Mount Ephraim and the junction with Molyneux Park Road on Tunbridge Wells Common.
Suspect Charged and Remanded
Just two days later, police arrested 46-year-old Rocco Minafra of Judd Road, Tonbridge. He faces charges of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and making threats to kill. Minafra appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 21 October and was remanded in custody. His next court hearing is set for 23 November at Maidstone Crown Court.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives are urgently seeking information. They want to hear from occupants of a white car who reportedly shouted at the victim and suspect, who was seen walking with a bike, between 8pm and 9pm on the night of the attack.
