JAILED Two Men Jailed Over Sussex County Lines Drugs Network

Two men have been locked up for running a county lines drug operation pushing heroin and cocaine across Sussex.

Ibrahim Ali, 20, from Harrow, got five years and three months. Eric Kalauz, 26, from Havering, was sentenced to four years and one month. Both were found guilty of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs.

‘Pokey’ Line Used Texts to Peddle Drugs

The duo ran the notorious “Pokey” line, using bulk text messages and coded promos to push their stash in Brighton, Bognor Regis, and beyond.

Sussex Police’s Community Investigation Team teamed up with the Met Police to crack the case. They tracked a mobile number tied to the drug ads and deals.

Phones were seized, and message analysis revealed Ali and Kalauz masterminded the supply and managed the texting system. Both men were arrested in London after months of intelligence work.

Police Praise Crackdown on Harmful Drug Supply

“Our investigation showed the significant drugs operation being run by these men. The group operating the ‘Pokey’ line was supplying Class A drugs which cause so much harm in our communities,” said Detective Inspector Gary Jacobs.

“We are pleased that this line has been shut down, and they will both serve significant custodial sentences.”

Police say the sentencing is another big win in fighting mobile “deal lines” flooding Sussex with harmful drugs.

County lines gangs often exploit vulnerable people to move drugs. DI Jacobs confirmed the force remains relentless in protecting communities and breaking these criminal networks.
