SEAFRONT HORROR Two Boys Arrested After Worthing Seafront Stabbing

Two teenage boys have been arrested following a stabbing on Worthing seafront earlier this month. Police swooped after reports of a knife attack in broad daylight.

Knife-Wielding Chase Sparks Panic

The drama unfolded just after 1pm on Wednesday, 1 October. Witnesses saw three teenagers – one armed with a knife – chasing another along Marine Parade near West Street. The victim, an 18-year-old man, suffered a hand injury and was rushed to hospital before being discharged.

Two Suspects Bailed Amid Ongoing Probe

Officers arrested two boys aged 16 and 17 from Worthing on suspicion of wounding with intent. Both have been released on conditional bail until 5 January as detectives continue their investigation.

“This was a serious incident that happened in daylight hours on Worthing seafront, when there would have been a lot of people around,” said Detective Constable Darran Newman. “We’re urging anyone with any information to please come forward.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Witnesses are being urged to help police crack the case. Anyone with information should contact Sussex Police online or call 101, quoting serial 615 of 01/10. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be given to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
