Witnesses with video footage are being urged to come forward following a violent disturbance in Sheerness High Street

At around 8.30pm on Saturday 4 May 2024 a fight involving around 10-15 people broke out near the junction with Beach Street, resulting in damage being caused to local businesses and vehicles.

No serious injuries were reported.

The following day two men in their 30s and a woman in her 20s, all from Sheppey, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and have since been released on bail pending further investigation.

Enquiries to identify other people involved in the disturbance are ongoing and officers would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or recorded footage at the scene.
