Following an extensive investigation by Thames Valley Police, Amelia Simkiss, a 24-year-old resident of Totteridge Road, High Wycombe, has been sentenced for wilful assault on five children in Marlow. The sentencing took place at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court today, where Simkiss received a one-year community order.

Simkiss pleaded guilty to one count of wilful assault during her appearance at the same court on 18 April. The incidents occurred between 6th October and 8th November of the previous year, during which Simkiss assaulted five children under her care.

Detective Constable Kirsty Pendle, from the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, expressed relief that Simkiss acknowledged her guilt, sparing the victims’ families the trauma of reliving the incidents in court. Thames Valley Police remains committed to preventing violence against children and ensuring that offenders are held accountable for their actions.
