Former glamour model Katie Price has had her Range Rover seized by police after being pulled over for driving without a licence or insurance, according to witnesses at the scene. The incident occurred shortly before 6 pm on Friday at Sompting Road roundabout in Worthing, West Sussex.

The 45-year-old star, who had recently regained her driving privileges following a two-year driving ban, was seen talking to police for over an hour after the incident. Local residents reported witnessing the commotion and confirmed that the vehicle impounded by police was a silver Range Rover, which is the same model often associated with Katie Price.

Earlier this week, the celebrity revealed that she was paying a staggering £14,000 a year for car insurance, having received quotes as high as £73,000 due to her public profile. In a TikTok live video, she expressed frustration over the perceived discrimination she faced from insurance companies due to her name and fame, believing that individuals with similar circumstances but different jobs would not encounter such astronomical insurance costs.

This is not the first time Katie Price has faced legal trouble related to driving. In December 2021, she was handed a two-year driving ban after crashing her vehicle near her Sussex home. Moreover, she received a 16-week suspended jail sentence after admitting to drink-driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. The accident occurred in September 2021 when she flipped her BMW on its side while driving to visit a friend.

Following the incident, Katie Price underwent a court-ordered rehabilitation program where she tested positive for alcohol and cocaine. She issued an apology, expressing remorse for her actions and acknowledging the importance of addressing mental health issues.

Sussex Police responded to the recent incident involving the Range Rover on Friday, stating that officers had spoken to the 45-year-old woman and subsequently seized the vehicle under Section 165(a) of the Road Traffic Act. The police, however, have not provided further comments at this time.

As investigations into the latest incident continue, Katie Price may face additional legal consequences depending on the outcome of the inquiry. Meanwhile, her car remains in police custody, and authorities are working to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the incident.
