A 30-year-old woman has been arrested following a fierce fire at a flat in Ribbleton, Preston.

Firefighters Race to Scene

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called just before 9pm on Sunday, 19 October to tackle the blaze on Farringdon Close.

At 8:56pm, three fire engines and a special appliance arrived from Preston, Bamber Bridge, and Hyndburn. Crews fought the flames using one jet, two hose reel jets, four breathing apparatus sets, and a positive pressure ventilation fan to stamp out the fire.

Woman Arrested and Released on Bail

The woman is arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. She has been released on bail with strict conditions as investigations continue.

Thankfully No Injuries Reported

Miraculously, no one was hurt in the incident, but the investigation is ongoing.
