On Andrew birthday, his family and friends are renewing their efforts to find him. Andrew, a steelworker originally from Grantham but living in Castle Bytham, mysteriously disappeared 24 years ago after a night out in the coastal town of Skegness.
On October 3, 1998, Andrew was enjoying a night out with three work colleagues, visiting several pubs in Skegness before ending the evening at Streets nightclub on North Parade. However, the night took a tragic turn when he was removed from the nightclub by door staff.
The last known sighting of Andrew was on close-circuit television between 01:00 and 01:30 on Scarborough Avenue, opposite the pier. One of his colleagues was seen catching up to him on the corner of Scarborough Avenue, but his colleague couldn’t recall what happened between catching up with Andrew and getting into a taxi about 30 minutes later.
Since his disappearance, Lincolnshire Police have tirelessly pursued nearly a hundred lines of enquiry, but no concrete leads or traces of Andrew have been found. His sudden vanishing has left his family and friends devastated, and they are desperately seeking answers to bring closure to this enduring mystery.
Described as six feet and two inches tall, with a heavy build, blue eyes, and blonde hair, Andrew has a distinctive characteristic of a missing middle finger on his left hand. He also had both ears pierced and tattoos on each arm, which could aid in his identification.
As the years pass, Andrew’s family remains resolute in their quest to find him and bring him back home. On his birthday, they continue to appealing to the public for any information that might shed light on his disappearance.
