Crisis at HMP Sudbury as Another Prisoner Absconds – UKNIP

Authorities are appealing for information after another convict failed to return to HMP Sudbury.

Since May 2022, at least 16 prisoners have disappeared from the open jail, the latest is Sean Rainey, also known as Kevin Williams, did not come back after overnight leave from the open prison in the Blackpool area on Sunday, July 9.

Rainey, 40 years old, is currently serving a five-year sentence for drug supply offences following his conviction at Preston Crown Court in 2021. Described as approximately 5ft 8in tall, with a stocky build, brown hair, and brown eyes, Rainey has tattoos on both arms.

Derbyshire Constabulary is seeking the public’s help in locating Rainey or providing any information that may assist in his apprehension. Individuals who have seen him or know of his whereabouts are urged to contact the police, referencing reference number 23000423589.
