A devastating fire that engulfed a restaurant in Richmond, South West London, has resulted in the destruction of a block of flats – UKNIP

The fire broke out at around 1:30 am on Tuesday, July 18, at the Diba Persian restaurant located at the junction of Halford Road and Paradise Road. The intensity of the blaze prompted the deployment of approximately 10 fire engines and 70 firefighters to the scene.

Efforts to extinguish the flames were carried out using hoses, but the fire had already ravaged the entire mansard roof on the second and third floors. Additionally, half of the first floor and part of the ground floor sustained significant damage.

Fire crews from Richmond, Kingston, Twickenham, Chiswick, Heston, Hammersmith, Actron, and Wandsworth fire stations worked tirelessly to bring the blaze under control. Their combined efforts successfully subdued the fire by 5:17 am.
