Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of a container on fire at a construction site off Railway Street in Gillingham

 

Two fire engines responded, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames with main jets and hose reel jets.

There were no reported casualties, and the cause is unknown.

The site owner was charged with the duty of care.
