Four fire engines and 25 firefighters rushed to a flat fire on Kidderminster Road, Croydon. Flames damaged part of a second-floor flat above a shop, but thankfully, no one was injured.
Rapid Response Keeps Fire in Check
The London Fire Brigade was called at 3:03pm and had the blaze under control by 3:57pm. Crews from Norbury, Wallington, and Mitcham fire stations tackled the incident.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the fire is now being investigated by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service to determine what sparked the dangerous blaze.
