A heartbreaking update has confirmed that the body of a missing man named Brandon Day has been found in Crayford. His family has publicly confirmed that he sadly took his own life.
Brandon’s body was discovered on the evening of Wednesday, 14 May 2025, along the River Cray in Crayford, following a search that had seen widespread public support. The news was shared in an emotional Facebook post by Stuart Day, who said police have now confirmed the body is Brandon’s.
We’re all devastated beyond belief but are also aware that there are still people out looking for him, so had to make it public,” Stuart wrote.
He expressed deep gratitude to all who helped raise awareness, sharing, texting, and calling during the time Brandon was missing.
If only he knew how many people loved him. I’ve been truly humbled.”
Stuart also thanked his sister, Rebecca Gosling, for being a pillar of strength during the ordeal.
The family has asked for time to grieve, but promised there would be a time to celebrate Brandon’s life and remember the good times.
