On 4th December 2024, police rushed to a serious crash on Privett Road, Gosport. The driver, 87-year-old James Masson, suffered life-threatening injuries after having a heart attack behind the wheel.
Rapid Police Response Saves Local Man
Officers arrived swiftly and began CPR immediately. An armed response unit soon joined with a defibrillator. Together, all five officers worked tirelessly until paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service took over.
Community and Police Celebrate Remarkable Recovery
Thanks to the incredible teamwork, James has made a full recovery nearly a year on. Three of the heroic officers—PC Williams, PC Cole, and PC Bark—recently met James and his family to celebrate over coffee and cake.
