Police have launched a murder investigation after an elderly man was found dead at a Camden home.
82-Year-Old Discovered Dead in NW6
Officers responded to welfare concerns for an 82-year-old man in West End Lane, NW6, at around 11:25am on Thursday, 5 March. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service confirmed the man had died at the scene.
Suspect Held at the Scene
A 53-year-old man was arrested inside the property on suspicion of murder just minutes after police arrived. He remains in custody as detectives continue their investigation.
A post-mortem is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities are working to identify and inform the victim’s next of kin.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“A team of detectives are working quickly to establish the full picture surrounding this man’s death,” said Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart, who leads policing in the area. “At this time, officers are treating this as an isolated incident with no risk to the wider community. “We ask anyone who was around West End Lane at this time, who may have seen or heard anything unusual, to speak to us.”
