Dwight Merrick Brought to Justice
Dwight Merrick, 35, from Hanson Close, Beckenham, has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Camden last week. Alongside the murder charge, Merrick faces possession of an offensive weapon, carrying a bladed article, and common assault relating to an earlier incident the same day.
He appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 3 October, and was remanded in custody. His next hearing is set for Tuesday, 7 October at the Old Bailey.
Camden Gardens Stabbing Shocks Local Community
Emergency services were called to Camden Gardens, NW1, at 3:29pm on Saturday 27 September after reports of a stabbing. Shaun Latimer-Kayser, 44, from Camden, was found with serious stab wounds. Despite frantic efforts by paramedics, Shaun later died in hospital.
Specialist officers are now supporting his grieving family as the investigation unfolds.
Second Suspect Arrested then Freed on Bail
A 47-year-old man from north west London was also arrested on suspicion of murder earlier this week. He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
