A fierce blaze tore through a car workshop beneath a railway arch near Rhodeswell Road, Mile End, in the early hours today. The fire broke out just after 3:53 AM, sparking a huge emergency response.

Eight Fire Engines and 60 Firefighters Rush In

 

Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters from Poplar, Millwall, Shadwell, and neighbouring stations raced to the scene. They battled the fast-spreading fire in grim conditions.

 

Train Line to Fenchurch Street Shut as Precaution

Officials temporarily closed the train line going into Fenchurch Street Station to keep passengers safe while crews fought the flames. The cause of the fire remains unknown.

 

London Fire Brigade Continues Battle
