Man Dies in Handsworth Stabbing
A 48-year-old man was found seriously injured on Uplands Road, Handsworth, just before 10pm on Saturday. Paramedics arrived quickly but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Held by Police
West Midlands Police arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning as detectives investigate the stabbing.
Police Support Victim’s Family
“We are in touch with the man’s family and they are being supported by our specialist officers at this tragic time,” said West Midlands Police in a statement.
A force spokesperson confirmed that no one else is being sought in connection with the attack. Extra patrols are planned throughout the day in the area.
