A registered sex offender has been locked up for three years after admitting to making indecent images of children, following a sting by Essex Police.
Pervert Caught During Routine Visit
Trevor Pearce, 63, was already on the sex offenders’ register and under a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) after past convictions in 2021. But last year, the Essex Police’s MOSOVO team caught him red-handed during a routine check at his Loughton home.
Officers found devices stuffed with illegal content – more than 600 indecent images and videos stored on phones and cloud accounts linked to Pearce.
More Devices, More Evidence
In February 2025, police raided Pearce’s address again, uncovering hidden phones and tablets. He had been deleting browser history, hiding apps, and using undeclared storage – all blatant breaches of his SHPO.
Disturbingly, the youngest victim in the images was less than a year old. Police also uncovered upskirting photos taken in Loughton.
Pleads Guilty to Multiple Charges
On 3 September at Chelmsford Crown Court, Pearce pleaded guilty to:
- 12 counts of making indecent images of children
- One count of possessing extreme pornographic images
- One count of recording images under clothing without consent
- One count of breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order
Three Years Behind Bars and Indefinite Listing
On 3 October, Pearce was sentenced to three years in prison. He was also slapped with an indefinite Sex Offenders’ Register listing and an indefinite SHPO, tightening controls on his future behaviour.
MOSOVO Officer Jai Rivers said: “This case shows why we constantly monitor offenders across Essex. Pearce blatantly ignored court orders and exploited victims. Despite his denials, the evidence forced him to plead guilty. Today’s sentence sends a clear warning – commit these crimes, and you will be caught and jailed.”
