“The youngest ones” were his “serious turn on,” he told undercover cops online
A vile paedophile who tried to arrange meeting a nine-year-old girl to rape her has been jailed for five years. Michael Storey, 56, from Gateshead, thought he was chatting with the girl’s mother online — but he was actually talking to an undercover police officer.
Disturbing Messages Exposed
During a two-week sting operation in February, Storey admitted to officers that young girls were a “serious turn on” and said he would “love” to have non-consensual sex with them. Newcastle Crown Court heard how he even sent photos of himself aroused and asked for indecent images of the child. His chilling request was for “utterly filthy, dirty and depraved” photos, but he drew the line at children younger than six.
Prosecutor Rachael Glover revealed Storey contacted a Snapchat profile claiming to belong to a woman who said she sexually abused her eight-year-old niece. Storey suggested they could abuse the child together.
Online Trap and Sick Plans
Another profile, posing as a local woman on Telegram, messaged Storey claiming to have a nine-year-old girl she enjoyed watching be abused by men. Storey eagerly replied he would “love” to join in and described his evil plans in graphic detail.
The pairs arranged a date for Storey to abuse the girl. Thankfully, police were on to him and stopped the sick scheme before it could happen.
Justice Delivered
Storey pleaded guilty to two counts of arranging the commission of a child sex offence and was sentenced to five years behind bars. His mugshot was released by Northumbria Police as a warning to the community.
This case, uncovered through clever undercover work, highlights the ongoing fight against online child predators targeting the most vulnerable.
