The suspect, described as a man in his 30s with distinctive red hair and beard, was captured on CCTV wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. According to Garda Inspector Pat Duggan, who leads the investigation, the man boarded the S8 bus at Belgard Square West in Tallaght at approximately 8:30 AM.

Inspector Duggan detailed how the Dublin bus attack unfolded: “The suspect tapped his Leap card and proceeded to the back of the bus heading toward Dun Laoghaire. The CCTV footage provides a clear image of his face.”
The Assault Incident
Approximately 45 minutes into the journey, near the Grange Road in Rathfarnham, the victim boarded at Eden Avenue bus stop. The suspect initiated the attack shortly after she sat across from him, first throwing her bag down the aisle before physically assaulting her.
Witness Response
During the Dublin bus attack, other passengers attempted to intervene as the situation escalated. The driver immediately stopped the vehicle when the assault began. The suspect eventually fled through the Grange Court estate.
