Just 20 minutes into their Saturday night patrol, PCs Gleeson and Pickering spotted suspicious behaviour near a car in Portobello. They quickly alerted the PIT squad, who tailed the vehicle and forced it to stop safely on Denby Dale Road, avoiding a risky chase.
