Officers were called to Ningwood Hill in Shalfleet at 1.40am on Saturday, 23 June, after receiving reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a silver Renault LL29 Van.
The driver, 45, from the Isle of Wight, died at the scene.
His next of kin have been notified, and they are being assisted by specialist officers.
