The iconic Red Arrows lit up the skies above Headcorn Aerodrome on Sunday afternoon, dazzling crowds at the Battle of Britain display with their precision aerobatics and vibrant plumes of red, white and blue.
Thousands of spectators gathered at the Kent airfield and surrounding viewing points, eager to witness the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team in action.
The Red Arrows made their thunderous entrance around 5.15pm, soaring in tight formation before breaking into a series of breathtaking manoeuvres that drew gasps and cheers from the crowd.
As the jets twisted and rolled through the sky, onlookers were treated to signature stunts including dynamic formation passes and a smoke-drawn red heart, honouring those who have served in the armed forces.
The 20-minute display, part of Headcorn’s annual Battle of Britain celebration, ended with a final fly-past to a chorus of applause from the crowd.
The event also featured a packed programme of aerial and ground attractions, including vintage aircraft flyovers, parachute jumps, historical re-enactments, and military vehicle exhibitions.
This year’s Battle of Britain Air Display at Headcorn Aerodrome continues to affirm its status as one of the south-east’s most cherished tributes to the RAF and the heroes of 1940.
