Brentwood Conman Escapes Prison with Forged Documents – UKNIP

Experienced prison staff were deceived when Junead Ahmed, who was awaiting sentencing for property fraud, walked out of HMP england/chelmsford/”>Chelmsford a free man. However, his escape plan unravelled when he attempted to use the same method to facilitate the release of two other inmates.

Failed Escape Attempts

Ahmed sought to break out Charlie Whittaker, imprisoned for his role in a violent incident that led to the death of 49-year-old Charlotte Whittaker, and Adam Mohamed, a drug dealer whom he befriended in prison. However, suspicions arose after an influx of letters, preventing the release of both men. Ahmed was subsequently apprehended and returned to custody.

Conspiracy Convictions

A total of six individuals have now been convicted for their involvement in this escape plot. Judge Mary Loram KC, presiding at Chelmsford Crown Court, characterised the scheme as “very meticulously planned.” Ahmed, 36, of Woodman Road in Brentwood, and Whittaker, 28, of Bemerton Gardens in cross/”>Kirby Cross, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to escape on September 9, 2023.

Aaruan Noor Ali, 20, of Monteagle Avenue in Barking, the so-called “tech man” behind the operation, also admitted to the same charge. Whittaker’s mother, Charlotte, and Nazash Akhtar, 37, of Collerne Street in Harold Hill, pleaded guilty for their roles in facilitating the escape.

Further Charges and Sentencing

Mohamed, 29, of Wilds Rent in Bermondsey, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of attempting to escape from lawful custody on September 10, 2023. Judge Loram remarked that Ahmed had taken a particular interest in Mohamed, stating, “Adam Mohamed was somebody who Junead Ahmed looked kindly on during his time in prison.”

Ahmed allegedly boasted to his wife about his plans to help Mohamed escape, claiming, “I’m going to change his life. He has such a great heart. He will die for me. I will release him.”

Upcoming Sentencing

All six defendants are scheduled for sentencing in October 2023. Judge Loram emphasised the seriousness of Metropolitan Policeiculously planned escape, stating that anyone involved should expect an immediate prison term. Following his return to prison, Ahmed was sentenced to four years for the fraud-related offences that initially led to his incarceration.

Whittaker was serving a one-year sentence for actual bodily harm related to a violent incident in Jaywick, which resulted in the death of gym instructor Michelle Cooper.
