Stratford Bus Station Remains Closed After Fatal Fall From Westfield Shopping Car Park

Stratford  Bus Station remains closed after a person tragically died following a fall from the top of a nearby Westfield Shopping Car park on Friday night.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 8:45pm on April 25. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the incident is being treated as non-suspicious, and inquiries are ongoing to identify and notify the next of kin.

Due to the ongoing police investigation, Stratford Bus Station remains closed as of 12:59am today (April 26), causing significant disruption to overnight bus services.

Bus Diversions and Service Updates

Transport for London (TfL) has issued diversion instructions for several affected bus routes, including 97, 108, 241, 308, 339, 388, and N205.

TfL has advised passengers to check live travel updates before setting off and to allow extra time for journeys.

Further updates on bus services and the reopening of the bus station are expected later today.
