Shazhan Hussain, a 34-year-old resident of Robert Street, Milford Haven, has been sentenced to life imprisonment after a chilling attempt to kill his father, Abdul Rouf. The incident occurred in the garden of a property on Harrogate Terrace in Undercliffe on April 9 last year.
Hussain, who drove from his home in South Wales specifically to carry out the attack, faced trial and was found guilty of attempted murder on February 1. Today, at Bradford Crown Court, he received a life sentence with a minimum term of 12 years and 345 days.

Detective Inspector Laura Casey of Bradford District CID expressed her sentiments: “This was a horrific and sustained attack, and the victim is incredibly fortunate to be alive today. Hussain’s willingness to drive hundreds of miles to perpetrate this crime, coupled with previous threats against the victim over several years, underscores the severity of his actions.”
