Kent’s Largest Wildlife Park to Shine Bright This Winter
Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve, one of the UK’s most renowned wildlife parks, has announced a brand-new seasonal light trail, set to run from November 2025 through January 2026. This will be the first immersive nighttime light experience ever hosted at the 600-acre reserve in Hythe, Kent.
Operated by The Aspinall Foundation, Port Lympne is home to over 900 rare and endangered animals, and this new event promises to combine cutting-edge storytelling with its core conservation values.
An Illuminated Experience Across 600 Acres
The upcoming trail will feature:

Tony Kelly, Managing Director at Port Lympne, shared his enthusiasm:
“We are delighted to announce our first-ever light trail, bringing a unique and innovative nighttime experience to the park.
This brand-new experience has been designed for everyone to enjoy and will create an adventure that is not only visually stunning but also directly supports the animals in our care.”
He added that the event would give locals and tourists something “totally unique and different to experience during the winter months.”
Conservation Meets Creativity
While visitors enjoy the spectacle, the light trail will also support Port Lympne’s conservation efforts, with proceeds going towards animal care and habitat preservation.
The Aspinall Foundation is known for its pioneering work in the rehabilitation and rewilding of endangered species, with many animals at the park part of active breeding and release programmes.

Due to expected high demand, interested guests are encouraged to register online now via Port Lympne’s website. Those who register early will gain exclusive access to the limited number of tickets being released in June 2025.
