Glasgow airport reopen after lockdown

Glasgow Airport was thrown into lockdown and Emergency services rushed to the airport after a security alert on board an Easyjet flight that had flown in from Gatwick. Flight in and out were grounded after the crew on the aircraft, which had just landed from Gatwick, raised the alarm just after 10.30am. The alert was sparked after a suspicious package was found onboard the aircraft. A spokesman from Airport confirmed that the package was declared safe and the airport has reopened. Police Scotland said it was made aware of a security incident by the flight crew.
