Bungalow Fire in Aylesham Extinguished as Crews Tackle Blaze Spreading to Roof and Shed – UKNIP

Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) responded to a serious fire at a bungalow in Hawthorn Close, Aylesham, on Thursday, 8 May 2025, after receiving emergency calls at 4:50pm.

Three fire engines and a height vehicle attended the scene, where firefighters in breathing apparatus worked to extinguish flames that had spread to both the roof of the property and a nearby shed. Crews used high-pressure hose reel jets to bring the fire under control.

The Volunteer Response Team from KFRS also provided support to residents during the incident.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and a full investigation is expected to follow.

Emergency services left the scene by 7:51pm.
