Couple Sought Over Tesco Car Park Distraction Theft in Wellingborough
Police are hunting a sneaky couple caught on CCTV after a distraction theft in Tesco’s Wellingborough car park.
Thief Poses as Helpful Stranger
The shocking incident happened on Wednesday, May 8, at around 4:50pm on Whitworth Way. A woman approached another in the car park, casually asking for directions. While the victim was distracted, a man snatched her handbag from the footwell of her car.
Cards Used Fraudulently After Theft
The stolen bag contained banking cards, which were later used fraudulently, leaving the victim out of pocket and shaken.
Police Appeal for Public’s Help
