Shoplifter Gets Five-Year Ban from Bristol’s Broadmead

A 61-year-old woman caught red-handed stealing in Bristol city centre has been hit with a hefty five-year ban from the bustling Broadmead shopping area.

Rosa Kovacs, from Easton, pinched candles and beauty items from two Bristol shops in early December. She was finally caught by local police on December 23, just weeks after the thefts on December 6 and 9.

Big Punishment: Criminal Behaviour Order and Compensation

At Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Christmas Eve, Kovacs pled guilty to the offences. She was slapped with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) banning her from Broadmead for five years. Breaching this could land her behind bars.
