Holly Newton Dies After Evening Assault
Fifteen-year-old Holly Newton was fatally attacked in the Priestpopple area of Hexham at around 5.10 p.m. on Friday. She was rushed to hospital but sadly died from her injuries.
Another Teen Hurt, Suspect Charged
A 16-year-old boy was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. Meanwhile, a male suspect, aged 16, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and possession of an offensive weapon.
Suspect to Appear in Court
The accused cannot be named due to legal restrictions. He is set to appear before newcastle/" title="Newcastle" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Newcastle magistrates for a hearing.
