Paedophile Groomed Girls as Young as 11 Online – Now Locked Up for Over 11 Years

Mohammed Sahinur was snared by Hertfordshire cops in June 2022 after a crackdown on predators hitching vulnerable kids via social media.

Monstrous Crimes Exposed

Sahinur targeted girls from 2021, coaxing them into sending explicit images. When they refused, he threatened them to keep silence.

His vile deeds came to light after officers seized all his electronic devices. The hunt uncovered more victims and offenses, leading to 15 charges including:

  • Sexual communication with a child
  • Eight counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual acts
  • Four counts of making a child watch sexual acts
  • Sexual assault of a child under 13
  • Rape of a child under 13

Justice Served at St Albans Crown Court

Sahinur was locked up on remand during his trial in early 2023. Found guilty on all charges, he was sentenced on 3 November at St Albans Crown Court to 11 years and 6 months behind bars.

Serious Warnings from Police

“Not only did Sahinur groom vulnerable young girls online, he met one victim in person to abuse her,” said Detective Sergeant Jim Miller from the Child Online Safeguarding Team.

“He threatened to expose these girls to their families or spread images further to keep control. His actions have severely harmed their mental health.”

“We’ll keep hunting predators like Sahinur. If you’ve been targeted, please speak up. Our trained officers are here to offer full support.”
