Man Seriously Injured in Basildon Assault
Essex Police rushed to the scene outside Vange Riverview Centre in Basildon just before 6pm on Saturday, 4 May, after reports of a man brutally attacked. The victim was rushed to hospital with a severe head injury and remains in critical condition.
Suspect Charged Over Brutal Attack
33-year-old Codey Nolan from River View, Basildon, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He also faces charges for offering to supply Class A drugs. Nolan has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 13 May.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Officers are pleading for anyone with information about the attack to speak up, no matter how small the detail. Police are especially keen to hear from anyone with doorbell or dash cam footage that could help the investigation.
