Repeat Burglar Sophie Fifield Jailed for Stealing E-Scooter and Cash
Sophie Fifield, 30, was caught red-handed after nicking an E-scooter and some cash from a flat on Foster Road back in May.
Admits Burglary, Gets 18 Months Behind Bars
The Gosport woman pleaded guilty to burglary at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on 18 September. Today, she was slammed with an 18-month jail sentence at Portsmouth Crown Court.
This isn’t her first run-in with the law. The sentence includes a suspended term activated from an earlier guilty plea for a robbery attempt at a charity shop on Fratton Road just one day before the flat break-in.
Police Clamp Down on Repeat Offenders
“Burglary has a huge effect on those who are targeted, and Fifield has clearly demonstrated a history of taking, or trying to take from others with absolute disregard to the impact on victims,”
said PC Tony Percival from the Eastern Area Crime Team.
“We work hard to tackle repeat offenders and disrupt the harm they cause to local residents and businesses. Sophie Fifield will now suffer the consequences of her actions, and I hope the community can feel reassured that she is now behind bars.”
