Man Admits Manslaughter in Brutal Stabbing of Woman in Handsworth
Kinga Roskinska died on 14 March after being stabbed at a flat on Oxhill Road, Handsworth. She was just 38.
Guilty Plea Changes Murder Trial
Pawel Ondycz, 50, initially faced murder charges but shocked Worcester Crown Court yesterday (12 December) by pleading guilty to manslaughter. The prosecution accepted his plea, ending the trial drama.
Disturbing Crime Details Emerge
- Kinga was found with a stab wound to her leg by paramedics and police.
- Despite their desperate efforts, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
- Ondycz was arrested immediately at the scene.
Strangely, Ondycz didn’t call 999 straight away. Instead, he contacted friends, claiming he couldn’t speak enough English to make an emergency call. Later, he lied to emergency services, saying Kinga had taken her own life out of jealousy over another woman.
Evidence and Sentencing Awaited
Police recovered blood-stained clothes and several knives from the flat. Ondycz was caught after admitting in a text message to a friend that he had killed Kinga.
He now awaits sentencing, remanded in custody, with his hearing set for next Thursday, 21 December.
