Drug Dealer Jailed for Over Six Years in Norfolk Bust

David Ogoe, 34, from Bury Close, London, was slammed with a hefty prison term last Thursday. The Norwich Crown Court handed him six years and seven months behind bars for running a deadly Class A drug operation.

Crackdown on ‘Buzz’ Drugs Line

Ogoe was nabbed on 27 April 2021 at a property in Westfield, Upton near Acle. Police had been cracking down on the notorious ‘Buzz’ drugs line flooding Norfolk with Class A substances. Investigations revealed Ogoe masterminded the distribution before handing control to a 16-year-old.

Justice Served

After being questioned at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre, Ogoe faced charges for two counts of involvement in supplying Class A drugs.

During sentencing on 8 February 2024, he was also slapped with a £190 victim surcharge.

Detective Constable Rebecca Pitt said: “This result highlights that action will be taken against those who distribute drugs and harm our local communities. If you are affected, we urge you to report drug dealing and related anti-social behaviour to Norfolk Police to help stop further crimes.”
