County Lines Dealer Busted with Heroin and Crack in Hereford
Robin Naughton Caught Red-Handed
Robin Naughton, 41, from the West Midlands, has been locked up after police caught him with heroin and crack cocaine in Hereford. On 6 October, the Proactive CID Team spotted Naughton arriving on a train from Birmingham, carrying a stash of class A drugs. The bust happened on Commercial Road, raising the alarm over county lines activity in the area.
County Lines Operation Exposed
Police launched an investigation and uncovered that Naughton was part of a county lines drug network operating between the West Midlands and Herefordshire. On 9 November, the dealer pleaded guilty to two counts of drug trafficking at Crown Court and was sentenced to 28 months behind bars.
Strong Message from Police
“Where we have information or intelligence to suggest county lines drug dealing is taking place we will act on this and take robust action,” said Detective Sergeant Nick Strutt.
“We work closely with partner agencies to tackle serious organised crime through our Protect campaign. This is West Mercia Police’s stand against those who cause the most harm in our communities.”
“I hope this sentence sends a clear warning to anyone involved in county lines that we will disrupt their networks and pursue them relentlessly.”
