Milford Haven Man Jailed for Arson and Assault After Setting Flat on Fire
Lloyd Jenkins, 33, from Richard John Road in Milford Haven, has been locked up for four years after a dramatic Swansea Crown Court trial. He was found guilty of arson, assault, and criminal damage following a two-day hearing.
Blaze and Brawl: How It All Went Down
Police rushed to a flat on October 16, 2022, after reports of smoke billowing from the property. On arrival, Jenkins’ partner revealed he had assaulted her during a fiery argument. Jenkins was immediately put on a wanted list as officers searched for him.
Deliberate Fire and Damage at Flat with Dogs Inside
Investigators uncovered that Jenkins had deliberately started fires in the oven and on the kitchen floor, causing extensive smoke damage throughout the flat. Disturbingly, the victim’s dogs were inside at the time. Alongside the fire damage, a TV and several items had been smashed on purpose.
Justice Served: Guilty Verdict and Prison Sentence
Despite denying the charges, evidence clearly linked Jenkins to the blaze and assault. He was arrested the next day and charged with arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered, assault by beating, and criminal damage. The jury found him guilty on all counts, and he has now been sentenced to four years behind bars.
