Met Police Officer Charged with Controlling Behaviour in Intimate Relationship
PC Sebastian Payne Faces Criminal Charges
Serving Met officer PC Sebastian Payne, from the South West Command Unit, has been charged with controlling and coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship. The alleged offences date back to between March and September 2019.
Court Date Set for October
Payne is due to appear at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 21 October to face the charges.
Investigation and Internal Action Underway
- The probe is being led by the South Area Command Safeguarding Unit.
- The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified.
- Payne is currently on restricted duties pending the outcome.
