Man Stabbed in Nottingham Street Brawl

Violence erupted on Bullace Road, St Ann’s, Nottingham on Sunday afternoon. Police were called at 12.55pm after a fight broke out between two men.

Victim Hurt But Stable

Officers arriving at the scene found one man suffering stab wounds. They quickly administered first aid before paramedics took him to hospital. The victim’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

Ashley Henry, 37, from Hogarth Street, has been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in public. He’s due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 18 July.

Police Crack Down on Knife Crime

Detective Sergeant James Hirst said: “We always respond quickly to violent incidents like this. Officers provided vital first aid and worked fast to arrest a suspect and recover the weapon.”

“Carrying a knife can have tragic consequences. Nottinghamshire Police is committed to removing knives from the streets and keeping people safe.

“I’m pleased the suspect has been charged and will face justice.”
