Teen Arrested Over Shocking Sexual Attacks in East London
16-Year-Old Charged After Two Separate Attacks
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday, June 22, linked to two horrific crimes in East London. He faces charges for sexually assaulting a woman on Chatsworth Road, E5, on June 10, and for raping and sexually assaulting another woman at Hackney Marshes on June 11.
Next Stop: Stratford Magistrates’ Court
The teenager is set to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 28, as the investigation continues.
Police Pledge Tough Action and Appeal for Witnesses
“Officers remain committed to tackling violence against women and seeking justice for those who have come forward,” said Detective Superintendent Mike Hamer of the Met’s Central East Basic Command Unit.
“We are still appealing for the public’s help. Anyone with information or victims who haven’t yet spoken should contact police immediately.”
