Predator Mark Anthony Wilson Jailed for Horrific Abuse of Children
Mark Anthony Wilson, 35, from Allen Grove, has pleaded guilty to a shocking 27 charges involving nine victims aged between seven and 19. His vile crimes, carried out from 2018 to 2020, saw him prey on vulnerable children and young adults across the UK.
Threats, Blackmail & Sickening Abuse
Wilson coerced his victims into sending intimate photos and videos by threatening to expose them and their families. When some refused, he followed through on his threats, sharing explicit images online and with others, leaving his victims terrified and humiliated.
- He once sent a naked video of a teenage boy to the mother of another victim.
- Police uncovered a grotesque trail of 206 messages and Facetime calls involving images of a seven-year-old boy’s genitals.
- Explicit images and 1,149 graphic sexual messages were found between Wilson and an eight-year-old girl.
- A 16-year-old girl received racially abusive, threatening messages, including threats to post false rape claims about her father on YouTube. This earned Wilson an extra nine-month sentence for racially aggravated abuse.
Sentenced at Teesside Crown Court
Wilson was sentenced on 15 June 2022 at Teesside Crown Court after pleading guilty at York Magistrates’ Court. Detective Constable Karen Barugh of Northallerton CID spoke of the lasting trauma Wilson inflicted on his victims.
“The defendant has committed multiple malicious and sexual offences against children online between 2018 and 2020, causing them great distress. They had to be terrified at the prospect of him carrying out his threats.” “Despite being arrested, he continued to commit crimes while on bail, his offences becoming more serious over time. He was prolific in targeting children and has shown no remorse for what he did.”
Wilson was also slapped with an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order to protect the public from further abuse.
