Brighton Burglar Nailed After Spirit and Bike Heist Spree

A Brighton woman has been locked up for a string of daring burglaries at two local businesses.

Double Pub Raid and Bike Swipe

Naomi Rosenberg, 42, of Phoenix Rise, Brighton, admitted breaking into the Brunswick Pub twice in September 2022. She made off with cash and bottles of spirits. Just days later, she struck again at Komedia, stealing a bicycle.

Knife Arrest Seals Her Fate

After being arrested and granted conditional bail, Rosenberg’s run came to an end on October 24. While signing on at John Street Police Station, she was caught carrying a flick knife. This led to additional charges of possession of an offensive weapon.

Justice Served at Chichester Crown Court

Rosenberg pled guilty to four charges, including burglary and knife possession. On December 6, she was sentenced to 14 months behind bars.

“We are proud that a prompt and robust investigation against Rosenberg has removed her from being able to reoffend for quite some time,” said Detective Sergeant Jo Benton of the Greenfinch burglary team.

“The Greenfinch burglary team was set up to remove persistent offenders from Brighton & Hove’s streets and to reassure local people and businesses. We will continue to take positive action against anyone committing these crimes.”

She also thanked the public for crucial information and footage that helped build the case.
