Three Shocking Attacks Across Cornwall
- October 2019, Private Home: Luke showed up with a group to a woman’s address. After others left, Luke stayed behind, alone with the victim. He assaulted her before she fought him off and he fled.
- May 17, 2020, Camborne: After drinking with the victim and others, Luke was left alone with the woman. He sexually assaulted her while strangling her neck. She escaped and alerted police.
- May 24, 2020, St Austell: Luke attacked a woman walking alone at night. His assault was interrupted by a passerby, leading to his arrest that same day.
Justice Served
“We welcome the sentence handed down today,” said the lead investigator. “Thanks to the victims’ bravery, we hope this brings them closure. This verdict proves offenders will face justice.”
Stella Waata, Senior Crown Prosecutor for CPS South West added, “Sexual assaults are complex to prosecute. Thanks to thorough police work and the courage of the three women, we built a strong case leading to guilty pleas and today’s sentencing.”
