Relentless Abuse Ends in Shocking Knife Threat
Guest’s reign of terror escalated from constant threats and abuse to breaking into his victim’s home wielding a machete. During the trial, it emerged he even taunted the detective on the case, daring her to “play a game” to catch him.
Despite trying to deny all charges, Guest finally admitted to breaching a non-molestation order, threatening with a bladed weapon, and threatening to share intimate images.
Judge Slams Dangerous Offender with Jail Sentence
On March 2 at Warwick Crown Court, Guest was locked up for two years and five months.
“When we first interviewed Guest he tried to lie and manipulate his way out of being held to account,” said Detective Constable Baylie Cairns.
“He abandoned his denials only when confronted with irrefutable evidence thanks to the victim’s bravery. Guest is clearly a danger to women, and we welcome this sentence.”
